Langston Hughes' Black Nativity Returns to Miami and Broward
Brvo Theatre is set to present its second annual production of Langston Hughes? uplifting work, Black Nativity, which offers a gospel-infused interpretation of the Nativity story while honoring Black culture and community. This year's performances will take place across two Florida counties, with shows scheduled from December 11?14 at the Sandrell Rivers Theater in Miami and December 18?21 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The season will kick off with a special concert version on December 6 at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
Directed by Zaylin Yates, a co-founder of Brvo, and featuring choreography by Terrence ?TM? Pride, the production promises a vibrant experience filled with live gospel music, energetic dance, and striking African-inspired costumes. Audiences have praised Black Nativity as being on par with Broadway shows, highlighting its electrifying performance quality.
